Over the last decade Ed Arzouian has spent a great deal of time working
closely with many levels of government and public services.
Current work at the Goodwill Theatre in Johnson City involves dealing with
the Village of Johnson City and its Planning Department, Code Enforcement
Department, Fire Fighting Department and Police Department. It also
includes being in close contact with Broome County, State and Federal
elected officials and employees. Work with the Theatre’s rental apartments
and as a residential rental agent has meant working with the Broome County
Department of Social Services Temporary Assistance Service and Adult
Protective Services.
Ed’s work at Bates Troy Healthcare Linen Services as Compliance and Special
Projects manager has required working with OSHA and becoming familiar
with management and facility concerns of local health care providers.
In past projects organizing large international sporting events Ed has had to
work closely with traffic, public transit, police, fire and EMS departments of
large metropolitan areas as well as small municipalities of rural counties.
As the Executive Director of a 3000-member linguistic and civil right
association, Ed has had to work with elected public official at all levels and
closely monitor laws affecting education, health care and commerce.
This background is a tremendous asset for a county legislator.
